Thankful for Our Families

Categories: (Email) Monthly, Kingswood Connection,Families

Many of us are enjoying the cooler weather after a long period of warm weather this year! We have lots of great things planned for families and children in November and beyond at Kingswood. Basketball practice also begins in November, and we are all excited.

We had a fun Family Movie Night in August, The Kingswood School is back in session, and the preschool children are all getting settled in. Dennis and I have started chapel with the students, and we are having lots of fun. We enjoyed the annual Trunk or Treat event with lots of preschool families and community members. Thank you to everyone who participated.

The John Wesley Choir has started practicing for their December program, and the children are excited to learn their lines and perform. Claire and Fannie Lou do an amazing job organizing the shows each year. We invite you to join us for the John Wesley Choir program on Wednesday, December 12, at 6:30 pm. It is always great. The Little Angels Choir for children ages 3-K practices at 9:45 a.m during our Sunday school hour, and they would love to add new members.

On Saturday, November 3, we have our next Kingswood in the Park beginning at 8 am. This will be a great way to connect with each other and the community. The event will include organized walking and running groups, and time for young children to play together on the playground.

Please join us for our Family Christmas Party planned for Sunday, December 2, from 3–5 pm. The event will include cookie decorating, an opportunity to write and mail letters to Santa, and photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus! We are so excited for the event, and the registration link will be available on the Kingswood website in early November.

I am so grateful and blessed to serve the families of this church community, and I look forward to a fantastic November at Kingswood. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks to the Lord with a grateful heart. God is working through each of us as we care for one another, the community, and the world.
