Rev. Charles Broome joined Kingswood as Senior Pastor in 2015. Charles is a second-career pastor, having gone into the ministry in 1998. He believes strongly in the importance of serving outside of the church. In addition to serving in a number of mentoring and leadership roles within the denomination’s North Georgia Conference, he has served for the past 15 years on the board of the Joseph M. Still Burn Centers Research Foundation and as Chaplain for the Southeaster Firefighters Burn Foundation.
Charles and his wife June have two daughters and five young grandsons who live in Augusta. He attended Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina, from 2004 to 2007.
Dondra Davis serves as Associate Pastor as well as Director of Youth Ministries at Kingswood. In addition to pastoral duties, she is responsible for the development and implementation of youth studies and programming for students in grades 6 to 12. She works with a group of adult leaders to help our youth develop a faith that will sustain them through college and into adulthood. She is passionate about relational ministry and works to make Kingswood a place where all of our students feel a sense of belonging.
Dondra holds a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She also graduated from Georgia College with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Director of Family and Children’s Ministries
Jessica Falk-Spencer serves as Director of Family and Children’s Ministry at Kingswood, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of all programs, activities and educational aspects related to our families and children. Jessica is focused on Sunday School curriculum (preschool – grade 5), Vacation Bible School, family fellowship events and service opportunities helping our parents and children grow in the faith.
Before being named to this role, Jessica was part of the Kingswood family for six years as a teacher in The Kingswood School. Jessica and her children have been active Kingswood UMC members for several years. Jessica, her husband Andy, and their children, Jack, Maxine, and Molly, reside nearby in Dunwoody.
Minister of Worship Arts
Dennis serves as Minister of Worship Arts, a role he has filled since 2005. His goal is to be the doorman for the worshiper into God’s presence. The arts provide the language with which all may encounter and experience God—music, movement, visual, and more. The language of worship is unlimited, accessible to all, and glorifies the accessible, unlimited God.
Dennis is married to Gail, and his family includes daughter Katy and husband Jake, son Cole, and granddaughters Kensey & Adie. Dennis is a Food Network addict (Tex-Mex his specialty), and he enjoys pursuing his interest in theater, writing/composing, and history.
Director of The Kingswood School
Michelle Wicklund serves as Director of The Kingswood School, which serves children ages 2 through Kindergarten.
Michelle Wicklund is a certified teacher with 16 years of teaching experience. At Kingswood, she has taught the 2 year old and 3 year old classes, assisted in the 4’s class, and was Lead Teacher for the Kindergarten class for 4 years. She and husband Jay have two children, Walker and Quinn, who both attended The Kingswood School. The family has lived in Italy and St. John and now live in Dunwoody.
