Preschool Programs

We have numerous sports & fitness activities for children of all ages! For those attending The Kingswood School, some activities are timed to start right after school dismissal. As a convenience to parents granting permission, a designated person from Kingswood UMC can bring their child to Kingswood Church’s afternoon activities, and parents can pick up children at their conclusion. Instructors from Creative Movement & Dance teach a class divided between tap and ballet.  Since ballet is the basis for all dance technique, the combination of both work hand in hand.  The technical training is taught through ballet, which in turn helps teach the proper shifting of weight and patterns in movement for tap.  Since children naturally respond to music and movement, all of the activities are executed to fun music.  This class is for ages 3-6 (by August 1, 2018).  The class meets Tuesdays, 1:00 – 2:00.

Dress Code: Tap-Ballet students need a pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and black tap shoes.  Please label all dance attire!  SAVE TIGHTS FOR COLD WEATHER AND THE RECITAL.
