Music & Arts

Kingswood has an active and varied music program that provides opportunities for all ages to participate in music ministry.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is very active in the life of our church! The choir leads us in song at the 11:00 worship service each Sunday and also provides music for special services and programs throughout the year. Middle and high school students are welcome, as well. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm.

Handbell Choir

Kingswood’s adult handbell ensemble, Celebration Ringers, rehearses Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:20 pm in the choir room. The Celebration Ringers provide service music for both services several times a year as well as occasional special programs. Directed by Allen Baston, this ensemble is open to high school and college students as well as adults.

For Youth

Kingswood is forming a youth praise band under the direction of Ralph Lehr. The group meets most Sundays at 4:00 pm.

For Children

Children in grades 1 through 5 are invited to join director Claire Botsch for a high-energy session of musical activities with the John Wesley Choir. This group presents two annual programs (Christmas and Spring), and also brings energy into Kingswood’s worship experiences throughout the year. John Wesley Choir meets Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:20 pm in room 141.

Younger children ages 3 through kindergarten can participate in the Little Angels choir, under the direction of Kara Grant. Our youngest musical group practices at 9:45 am Sundays at the beginning of children’s Sunday school.
