John Wesley Choir is “Counting Down to Christmas”

Our John Wesley Choir, led by Claire Botsch, presents Counting Down To Christmas, Wednesday, December 13, 6:30 PM.  Come join us at 5:30 PM for free dinner and fellowship before the performance! Kingswood’s John Wesley Choir showcases the talent of our 1st through 5th graders as they share the Christmas spirit!

Make sure you are on time with cameras ready because The Little Angels will be opening the show! This choir consists of our three-year-olds through kindergarten-aged children led by Kara Grant.

Open House at the Parsonage

On Sunday December 17, 3:00—5:00 PM, Charles and June are having a drop-in at the parsonage to show off all the recent improvements and express their gratitude to their Kingswood family. Park at the church and walk or be shuttled to the parsonage.

Service of the Longest Night

Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with pain and disease that puts a question mark over the future, and any number of other human situations make parties and celebrations painful for many people. In an attempt to be attentive to the needs of our church family, we will be creating a sacred space for people living through dark times on Wednesday, December 20, at 6:30 pm. The “Service of the Longest Night” will be a reflective service, accepting where we really are, and holding on for healing and hope.  It is a service for everyone, for as Paul says, “when one member of the body mourns, we all mourn.” When one celebrates, we all celebrate. As we go through life together, we need to make sure our brothers and sisters in Christ know we are with them in their time of struggle.

Family-Friendly Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Join us at 6:00 for our family friendly Candlelight Service.  Come early to get a seat.  We will have something for everyone, including the Little Angels and the John Wesley Choirs, Holy Communion and of course Silent Night while our candles are lit and Joy to the World as we conclude.  Your Christmas will not be complete if you don’t come and join us for this very special service.
